أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْثَرٌ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
عَلَّمَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ التَّشَهُّدَ فِي الْحَاجَةِ «إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ لِلَّهِ نَسْتَعِينُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرَهُ وَنَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ شُرُورِ أَنْفُسِنَا مَنْ يَهْدِ اللهُ فَلَا مُضِلَّ لَهُ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ» وَيَقْرَأُ ثَلَاثَ آيَاتٍ تَابَعَهُ الْمَسْعُودِيُّ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught us the tashahhud in times of need: "Indeed all praise is for Allah; we seek His help and His forgiveness, and we seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our own selves. Whoever Allah guides, none can mislead, and whoever He sends astray, none can guide. I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger." And he recited three verses. Al-Mas'udi concurred with him.
