أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَجَدَّ ثَوْبًا سَمَّاهُ بِاسْمِهِ فَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ أَنْتَ كَسَوْتَنِي هَذَا الثَّوْبَ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيَّرِهِ وَخَيْرِ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَشَرِّ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ» [124] تَابَعَهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ وَخَالَفَهُمَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ acquired a new garment, he would name it by its name and say: "O Allah, You have clothed me with this garment, so to You is praise. I ask You for its good and the good of what it was made for, and I seek refuge with You from its evil and the evil of what it was made for." [124] Abdullah b. al-Mubarak agreed with him, and Hammad b. Salamah differed from both of them.
