أَخْبَرَنِي هِلَالُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ

أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَطْعَمُ فَقَالَ «ادْنُ فَكُلْ وَسَمِّ اللهَ وَكُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ وَكُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَ»

Translation

  1. Hilāl b. al-ʿAlāʾ b. Hilāl from my father
  2. Yazīd b. Zurayʿ
  3. Saʿīd b. Abū ʿArūbah
  4. Hishām b. ʿUrwah from his father
  5. ʿUmar b. Abū Salamah

✧ He entered upon the Prophet ﷺ while he was eating, and he said, "Come near and eat. Mention the name of Allah, eat with your right hand, and eat from what is near you."
