حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمْزَةُ الزَّيَّاتُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ

مُعَقِّبَاتٌ لاَ يَخِيبُ قَائِلُهُنَّ أَوْ فَاعِلُهُنَّ ثَلاَثٌ وَثَلاَثُونَ تَسْبِيحَةً وَثَلاَثٌ وَثَلاَثُونَ تَحْمِيدَةً وَأَرْبَعٌ وَثَلاَثُونَ تَكْبِيرَةً فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلاَةٍ

Translation

  1. Naṣr b. ʿAlī al-Jahḍamī
  2. Abū Aḥmad
  3. Ḥamzah al-Zayyāt
  4. al-Ḥakam
  5. ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū Laylá
  6. Kaʿb b. ʿUjrah
  7. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

There are certain ejaculations, the repeaters of which or the performers of which at the end of every prayer will never be caused disappointment:" Glory be to Allah" thirty-three times," Praise be to Allah" thirty-three times, and" Allah is most Great" thirty-four times.
