It is permissible for one who is junub to sleep, but it is recommended for him to perform wudu', and wash his private parts if he wants to eat, drink, sleep, or have intercourse

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ
كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ

Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ intended to sleep after having sexual intercourse, he performed ablution as for the prayer before going to sleep.
