Sahih Muslim 1400e

Marriage is recommended for the one who desires it and can afford it, and the one who cannot afford it should distract himself by fasting

حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

دَخَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَحْدَثُ الْقَوْمِ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِهِمْ

We went to him, and I was the youngest of all (of us), but he did not mention:" I lost no time in marrying."
