How Should One Place His Knees Before His Hands (While Going Into Prostration)

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ وَحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ وَضَعَ رُكْبَتَيْهِ قَبْلَ يَدَيْهِ وَإِذَا نَهَضَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ قَبْلَ رُكْبَتَيْهِ

machine translationAl-Tirmidhī said: This ḥadīth is good and gharīb (ḥasan gharīb). We do not know anyone who narrated it other than Sharīk. He mentioned that Hammām narrated it from ʿĀṣim as a mursal report, and did not mention Wāʾil b. Ḥujr in it.
