حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ
اثْنَتَانِ يَكْرَهُهُمَا ابْنُ آدَمَ: الْمَوْتُ، وَالْمَوْتُ خَيْرٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ مِنَ الْفِتْنَةِ، وَيَكْرَهُ قِلَّةَ الْمَالِ، وَقِلَّةُ الْمَالِ أَقَلُّ لِلْحِسَابِ
Translation

✧ Two things the son of Adam dislikes: death, and death is better for the believer than trial, and he dislikes scarcity of wealth, and scarcity of wealth means less reckoning.
