Musnad Ahmad 3672

Translation

✧ Indeed, Allah has apportioned among you your characters just as He has apportioned among you your provisions. Indeed, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, gives the world to whom He loves and to whom He does not love, but He does not give the religion except to whom He loves. So whoever Allah gives the religion, He loves him. By the One in whose hand is my soul, no servant submits until his heart and tongue submit, and no one believes until his neighbor is safe from his harmful acts. They said: And what are his harmful acts, O Prophet of Allah? He said: His wrongdoing and oppression. No servant earns wealth from forbidden means and spends from it but that he is blessed in it, nor gives charity from it but that it is accepted from him, nor does he leave it behind his back except that it becomes his provision for the Fire. Indeed, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, does not erase an evil deed with an evil deed, but He erases an evil deed with a good deed. Indeed, the impure does not erase the impure.
