To be merciful to children and embrace them

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ قَالَتْ
جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: تُقَبِّلُونَ الصِّبْيَانَ، فَمَا نُقَبِّلُهُمْ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: «أَوَ أَمْلِكُ لَكَ أَنْ نَزَعَ اللَّهُ مِنْ قَلْبِكَ الرَّحْمَةَ؟»

A Bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “Do you kiss children? We do not kiss them.” The Prophet ﷺ said: “Can I control it for you if Allah has removed mercy from your heart?”
