✧ The witr prayer

وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، ثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ، ثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ؓ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ

كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِثَلَاثٍ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْأُولَى بِـ سَبِّحْ، وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ بِـ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ، وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ بِـ قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ

✧ He used to pray witr with three rak'ahs, reciting in the first with Sabbih, in the second with Qul ya ayyuha al-kafirun, and in the third with Qul huwa Allahu ahad.
