✧ The Siwak

وَقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ حَرَامِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَتِيقٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ
أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَسْتَاكُ إِذَا أَخَذَ مَضْجَعَهُ، وَإِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، وَإِذَا خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ. قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: لَقَدْ شَقَقْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ بِهَذَا السِّوَاكِ ! فَقَالَ: إِنَّ أُسَامَةَ ؓ

✧ He used to use the siwak when he lay down on his bed, when he got up during the night, and when he went out to pray. He said: I said to him: You have made things hard on yourself with this siwak! He said: Indeed Usamah ؓ
