✧ The virtue of remembrance after the morning prayer until sunrise

وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ مِقْدَامٍ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، أَنَّهُ جَلَسَ إِلَى جَنْبِ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ مِنْ بَنِي سَاعِدَةَ فِي مَسْجِدِهِمْ فَقَالَ: أَقْبِلْ عَلَيَّ، فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَبَا حَازِمٍ: أَلَا أُحَدِّثُكَ عَنْ أَبِي، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

لَأَنْ أُصَلِّيَ الصُّبْحَ ثُمَّ أَجْلِسَ فِي مَجْلِسِي أَذْكُرُ اللهَ تَعَالَى حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنَ الشَّدِّ عَلَى جِيَادِ الْخَيْلِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ تَعَالَى، مِنْ حِينِ أُصَلِّي الصُّبْحَ إِلَى أَنْ تَطْلُعَ

✧ That I pray the dawn prayer and then sit in my place remembering God Almighty until the sun rises is more beloved to me than charging on excellent horses in the path of God Almighty from the time I pray the dawn prayer until it rises.
