✧ Smiling and reflection during prayer

- وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ:

إِذَا كُنْتَ فِي أَمْرٍ مِنْ أُمُورِ الدُّنْيَا فَتَوَحَّ، وَإِذَا كُنْتَ فِي أَمْرٍ مِنْ أُمُورِ الْآخِرَةِ فَتَمَكَّثْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتَ، وَإِذَا هَمَمْتَ بِخَيْرٍ فَلَا تُؤَخِّرْهُ، وَإِذَا أَتَاكَ الشَّيْطَانُ وَأَنْتَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ: إِنَّكَ مُرَاءٍ، فَأَطِلْهَا

Translation

✧ When you are engaged in a matter of this world, proceed with it, and when you are engaged in a matter of the Hereafter, take your time as much as you can. If you intend to do good, do not delay it. If Satan comes to you while you are praying and says, 'You are showing off,' then prolong it.
