✧ Prohibition of recitation during bowing and prostration

- قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، قَالَ:

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ فُلَانًا يَقْرَأُ وَهُوَ رَاكِعٌ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رِجَالًا يَقْرَؤُونَ الْقُرْآنَ، لَا يُجَاوِزُ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ، فَإِذَا رَسَخَ فِي الْقَلْبِ يَقَعُ

Translation

✧ A man came to Abdullah and said, 'So-and-so recites while bowing.' He said, 'Indeed, men recite the Quran but it does not go beyond their throats. When it becomes firmly rooted in the heart, then it has effect.'
