✧ When people are gathered on the Day of Resurrection, they will stand for forty, with the sun above their heads, their eyes staring at the sky, awaiting the judgment, every righteous and wicked among them, none of them speaking. Then a caller will call out: Is it not justice from your Lord who created you, formed you, and provided for you, and then you worshipped other than Him, that He should assign every people to what they turned to? They will say: Yes. Then an angel will call out with that three times. Then the deities that each people used to worship will appear before them, and they will follow them until they lead them to the Fire. Then the believers and the hypocrites will remain. The believers will fall down in prostration, and the backs of the hypocrites will be fused, becoming a single bone like the horns of cattle, and they will fall on their backs. Then Allah, Exalted is He, will say to them: Raise your heads to your light, according to the measure of your deeds. So a man will raise his head and his light before him like a mountain, and a man will raise his head and his light before him like a palace, and a man will raise his head and his light before him like a house, until He mentioned like a tree. Then they will pass over the bridge like lightning and like the wind and like the running of a horse and like the hastening of a man, until the last of people remains, whose light is on the big toe of his foot like a lamp. Sometimes it shines for him and sometimes it dims, and the Fire takes branches from him. He will remain thus until he crosses. Then he will say: He does not know who has been saved from it besides me, and no one has suffered what I have suffered; its heat afflicted me and I was saved from it. He said: Then a gate of Paradise will be opened for him, and he will say: O Lord, admit me into this. He will say: My servant, perhaps if I admit you, you will ask Me for other than it. He said: Then He admits him. While he is marveling at what he is in, another gate is opened for him, and what he is in becomes insignificant in his eyes. He will say: O Lord, admit me into this. He will say: Did you not claim that you would not ask Me for other than it? He will say: By Your might and majesty, if You admit me into it, I will not ask You for other than it. He said: Then He admits him until He admits him through four gates, all of which he asks for. Then a man like light will face him. When he sees him, he will fall down and prostrate to him. He will say: What is your matter? He will say: Are you not my Lord? He will say: I am only a steward. You have in Paradise a thousand stewards over a thousand palaces, between every two palaces a journey of a thousand years, the farthest of them seen as the nearest is seen. Then a gate of green chrysolite is opened for him, containing seventy gates, in each gate spouses, couches, and attendants. He will sit with his wife, and she will hand him the cup and say: You are, since I handed you the cup, seventy times more handsome than you were before. Upon her are seventy garments of various colors, the marrow of her shin is seen, and the man wears his clothes upon her liver, and her liver is his mirror. This is a sound, connected chain whose men are trustworthy.
