✧ The amount of recitation in prayer

وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ ثَوْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الثُّمَالِيِّ - وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ - وَعَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الثُّمَالِيِّ - وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ - ؓ:

( أَنَّهُمَا صَلَّيَا مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ [الصُّبْحَ]، فَقَرَأَ: إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ فَسَجَدَ فِيهَا

✧ (They both prayed with ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb ؓ [the dawn prayer], and he recited: “When the sky is split apart,” and he prostrated in it.)
