✧ The killing of Ammar ᴿᴬ at Siffin and his statement ﷺ 'Ammar will be killed by the transgressing party'

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ حَبَّةَ قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ لِحُذَيْفَةَ ؓ:
إِنَّ الْفِتْنَةَ قَدْ وَقَعَتْ فَحَدِّثْنِي مَا سَمِعْتَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ، قَالَ ؓ: سَمِعْتُهُ ﷺ يَقُولُ لِابْنِ سُمَيَّةَ ؓ: وَيْحَ ابْنِ سُمَيَّةَ، تَقْتُلُهُ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ

✧ Indeed, the fitnah (tribulation) has occurred, so tell me what you heard the Prophet ﷺ say. He ؓ said: I heard him ﷺ say to Ibn Sumayyah ؓ: 'Woe to Ibn Sumayyah! The transgressing party will kill him.'
