✧ I came to Madinah while I was performing Hajj... He mentioned the hadith similar to what has preceded. He said: Some foolish people among the people heard him, among them Ibn Jurmuz, Fadalah, and Nufay'. They set out seeking him, and they met him coming with the cattle. 'Umayr b. Jurmuz came at him from behind and stabbed him with a weak stab, while he was on a weak horse of his. Al-Zubayr ؓ charged at him on a horse of his called Dhu al-Khimar. When Ibn Jurmuz thought that al-Zubayr ؓ would kill him, he called out to Fadalah and Nufay', and they charged at al-Zubayr ؓ and killed him.
