✧ The angels have not ceased surrounding this city of yours since the Messenger of God ﷺ came to it until today. By God, if you kill him, they will depart and never return to you. And the sword has not ceased to be sheathed among you. By God, if you kill him, God will unsheathe it upon you, and it will never be sheathed from you again – or he said, 'until the Day of Resurrection.' No prophet has been killed except that seventy thousand were killed for him, and no caliph has been killed except that thirty-five thousand were killed for him. And he mentioned that seventy thousand were killed for the blood of Yahya b. Zakariyya.
