✧ They heard a sound at the death of the Prophet ﷺ, and al-Abbas hurried, and his leg struck the back of one of the Prophet's ﷺ wives. He said: 'O my mother, O my mother, O my mother, do not blame me for this.' He caught up with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'The highest companion.' Al-Abbas said: I knew that he had been given a choice. When Allah decreed death upon His Prophet ﷺ, Ali b. Abi Talib and al-Fadl b. al-Abbas washed him. Al-Abbas was handing them water from behind the curtain. He said: 'What prevents me from washing him is only that we were boys carrying stones in the mosque.'
