✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said during the expedition of Khaybar: 'Whoever has a weak or refractory mount, let him return.' He ﷺ ordered a caller to announce that, and some people returned. Among the people was a man on a refractory young camel. At night he passed by some black object, and it bolted with him and threw him, breaking his neck. When he was brought to the Prophet ﷺ, he said: 'What is the matter with your companion?' They said: 'His affair was such and such.' He ﷺ said: 'O Bilal, did you not announce to the people: "Whoever has a weak or refractory mount, let him return?"' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'But he refused to pray over him.'
