✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me, and he sent with me a man from the Ansar, and he said: 'Go to Abu Sufyan and kill him in his courtyard.' They became aware of us, so we climbed the mountain. Then a man from Banu Tamim came to us, and I killed him. Then I entered a cave. A man from Banu Dil b. Bakr came to us and entered with us. I said: 'Who are you?' He said: 'From Banu Bakr.' I said: 'And I am from Banu Bakr.' He lay down and raised his voice singing, and he said: 'I am not a Muslim as long as I live, nor do I adhere to the religion of the Muslims.' I said: 'Sleep, and you will find out.' He slept, and I killed him. Then I went out and found two men whom Quraysh had sent. I said to them: 'Surrender as prisoners.' One of them refused, so I killed him, and the other surrendered. I brought him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
