✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ ordered the digging of the trench around Madinah. A group came to him and told him that they had found a boulder they could not break. The Messenger of God ﷺ stood up, and we stood with him. He took the pickaxe and struck, and I never heard a strike from a man louder than it. He ﷺ said: God is Greatest! Persia has been conquered. Then he struck another similar blow and said: God is Greatest! Byzantium has been conquered. Then he struck another similar blow and said: God is Greatest! God has brought Himyar as helpers and supporters.
