✧ Abu Salamah ؓ came... then he mentioned the hadith about his death, and that Abu Bakr ؓ proposed to her but she refused him, then Umar ؓ proposed but she refused him, then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent to propose to her. She said ؓ, "I have three traits." Umar ؓ heard what she said in response to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he became angrier for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than he did for himself. He went to her and said, "Are you the one who refuses the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? With what do you refuse him?" She said, "O Ibn al-Khattab, I have such and such." And in the hadith: "As for what you mentioned about jealousy, I will supplicate Allah Almighty to remove it." He said: So she became among the women as if she were not one of them; she did not feel the jealousy that women feel.
