✧ The Virtues of Fatimah, May Allah's Peace and Blessings Be Upon Her Father and Upon Her, ᴿᴬ , and the Virtue of Her Two Sons, ᴿᴬ

وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَحْوَصُ الْعَبْسِيُّ، ثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ قَرْمٍ، عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّفَرِ، عَنْ خِيَرَةَ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ ؓ قَالَتْ:

خَطَبَنِي عَلِيٌّ ؓ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ فَاطِمَةَ ؓ فَأَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّ أَسْمَاءَ ؓ مُتَزَوِّجَةٌ عَلِيًّا ؓ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَا كَانَ لَهَا أَنْ تُؤْذِيَ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ﷺ

Translation

✧ Ali ؓ proposed to me, and that news reached Fatimah ؓ, so she went to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "Asma' ؓ is married to Ali ؓ." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "It was not for her to harm Allah and His Messenger ﷺ."
