✧ On the virtue of remaining in the mosque

وَقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ الْفَزَارِيُّ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ وَاسِعٍ، قَالَ:
[ إِنَّ ] أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ ؓ قَالَ لِابْنِهِ: يَا بُنَيَّ، لِيَكُنْ بَيْتُكَ الْمَسْجِدَ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: « إِنَّ الْمَسْجِدَ بُيُوتُ الْمُتَّقِينَ، فَمَنْ كَانَتِ الْمَسَاجِدُ بُيُوتَهُ أَتَمَّ اللهُ لَهُ بِالرَّوْحِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ وَالْجَوَازِ عَلَى الصِّرَاطِ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ
Translation

✧ Indeed, Abu al-Darda' ؓ said to his son: 'O my son, let your house be the mosque, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "The mosque is the house of the pious. Whoever makes the mosques his home, Allah will guarantee for him comfort, mercy, and safe passage over the Sirat to Paradise."
