وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ طَارِقٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَمَعَهُ شَيْطَانٌ، قَالُوا: وَمَعَكَ ؟ قَالَ ﷺ: وَمَعِي، إِلَّا أَنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ، وَمَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُدْخِلُهُ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ، قَالُوا: وَلَا أَنْتَ ؟ قَالَ ﷺ: وَلَا أَنَا، إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَتِهِ
Translation

✧ There is none of you except that with him is a devil. They said: 'And with you?' He ﷺ said: 'And with me, except that Allah, exalted, helped me against him, so he submitted. And there is none of you whose deeds will admit him to Paradise.' They said: 'Not even you?' He ﷺ said: 'Not even me, unless Allah, Mighty and Majestic, envelops me with His mercy.'
