✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of God, I have married off my daughter, and I would love for you to help me with something.' He ﷺ said: 'I have nothing, but when tomorrow morning comes, bring me a wide-mouthed bottle and a stick from a tree. And it is between me and you that you knock on the side of the door.' He said: So he came to him ﷺ with a wide-mouthed bottle and a stick from a tree. He ﷺ began to wipe the sweat from his forearms until the bottle was filled. Then he ﷺ said: 'Take it and tell your daughter to dip this stick into the bottle and perfume herself with it.' He said: When she perfumed herself with it, the people of Madinah would smell the fragrance of that perfume, so they called them the houses of the perfumed ones.
