قَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ ثَنَا مَيْسَرَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ السَّعْدِيِّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - ؓ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ - ؓ قَالَا:

خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ... فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا طَوِيلًا جِدًّا، فِيهِ: وَمَنْ مَنَعَ الْمَاعُونَ جَارَهُ إِذَا احْتَاجَ إِلَيْهِ، مَنَعَهُ اللهُ فَضْلَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَوَكَلَهُ إِلَى نَفْسِهِ، وَمَنْ وَكَلَهُ إِلَى نَفْسِهِ هَلَكَ آخِرَ مَا عَلَيْهِ، وَلَا يُقْبَلُ لَهُ عُذْرٌ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ addressed us... and he mentioned a very long hadith, in which he said: 'Whoever withholds the ma'un (small kindnesses) from his neighbor when he needs it, God will withhold His bounty from him on the Day of Resurrection and leave him to himself. And whoever is left to himself will perish in the end, and no excuse will be accepted from him.'
