✧ There was a monk who worshiped in a hermitage. A woman had brothers, and something happened to her, so they brought her to him. She adorned herself for him, and he had intercourse with her, and she became pregnant. Satan came to him and said: Kill her, for if they find out about you, you will be disgraced. So he killed her and buried her. They came to him and took him and went away with him. While they were walking with him, Satan came to him and said: I am the one who adorned her for you, so prostrate to me once and I will save you. So he prostrated to him. That is the saying of the Almighty: 'Like the example of Satan when he says to man: Disbelieve; but when he disbelieves, he says: I am free of you.'
