وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ:

كَانَ ابْنُ عَمْرٍو ؓ يَضْرِبُ قُبَّتَيْنِ قُبَّةً فِي الْحِلِّ وَقُبَّةً فِي الْحَرَمِ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: لَوْ كُنْتَ مَعَ ابْنِ عَمِّكَ وَأَهْلِكَ ؟ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ مَكَّةَ بَكَّةُ، وَإِنَّا أُنْبِئْنَا أَنَّ مِنَ الْإِلْحَادِ فِيهَا: كَلَّا وَاللهِ، وَبَلَى وَاللهِ

Translation

✧ Ibn Amr ؓ used to pitch two tents, one in the permitted area and one in the sacred precinct. He was asked, 'Why not stay with your cousin and family?' He replied, 'Makkah is Bakkah. We have been told that part of deviation therein includes saying: No, by Allah; and Yes, by Allah.'
