machine translationYūnus b. Khabbāb narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Layth b. Abī Sulaym narrated it from Yūnus b. Khabbāb, from Abū Ḥāzim, from Abū Hurayrah; Jarīr b. ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd said this from him. Shuʿayb b. Ṣafwān, ʿAmr b. Mujammiʿ and Shuʿbah contradicted him and narrated it from Yūnus b. Khabbāb, from Abū ʿAlqamah, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, raising it to him (marfūʿ). ʿAbd al-Ṣamad related it from Shuʿbah, while others made it a statement of the Companion (mawqūf). Al-Thawrī narrated it from Manṣūr, from Yūnus b. Khabbāb, from Abū ʿAlqamah, from Abū Hurayrah, as raised (marfūʿ); al-Ashjaʿī said that from Sufyān. Abū Muḥammad b. Ṣāʿid narrated it to us by dictation: Ibrāhīm b. Yūsuf al-Kindī narrated to us: ʿUbaydullāh al-Ashjaʿī narrated to us, from Sufyān, from Manṣūr. Shaybān narrated it from Manṣūr, from Yūnus b. Khabbāb, from Abū ʿAlqamah, and I think he was a client (mawlā) of Banū Hāshim; he narrated it to us from Abū Hurayrah as a statement of the Companion (mawqūf). Fāḍil, the client of Abū ʿUyaynah, said from Yūnus b. Khabbāb: ʿAlqamah narrated to me between Zamzam and the Maqām, from Abū Hurayrah, as a statement of the Companion (mawqūf). ʿAmr b. Qays al-Mulāʾī said from Yūnus b. Khabbāb, from Yazīd b. ʿAlqamah, from Abū Hurayrah, also as a statement of the Companion (mawqūf). The most likely to be correct of these is the statement of the one who said: from Abū ʿAlqamah, from Abū Hurayrah.
