✧ Remembrance in the Morning and Evening

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، ثَنَا حُصَيْنٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ، قَالَ:
كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ؓ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ قَالَ: « اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنْ أَعْظَمِ عِبَادِكَ نَصِيبًا فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ تَقْسِمُهُ فِي الْغَدَاةِ مِنْ نُورٍ تَهْدِي بِهِ، وَرَحْمَةٍ تَنْشُرُهَا، وَرِزْقٍ تَبْسُطُهُ، وَضُرٍّ تَكْشِفُهُ، وَبَلَاءٍ تَدْفَعُهُ، وَفِتْنَةٍ تَصْرِفُهَا، وَسُوءٍ تَدْفَعُهُ
Translation

✧ Ibn Umar ؓ, when he entered the morning, would say: 'O Allah, make me among the greatest of Your servants in share of every good You distribute in the morning: light by which You guide, mercy You spread, provision You extend, harm You remove, affliction You repel, tribulation You divert, and evil You ward off.'
