وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ( يَقُولُ ): سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
« الْمَجَالِسُ ثَلَاثَةٌ: غَانِمٌ، وَسَالِمٌ، ( وَشَاجِبٌ ). ( فَالْغَانِمُ ) الَّذِي يُكْثِرُ ذِكْرَ اللهِ تَعَالَى فِي مَجْلِسِهِ، وَالسَّالِمُ الَّذِي يَسْكُتُ لَا عَلَيْهِ وَلَا لَهُ، ( وَالشَّاجِبُ ) الَّذِي يَكُونُ كَلَامُهُ وَعَمَلُهُ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى
Translation

✧ The gatherings are three: profitable, safe, and harmful. The profitable one is the one in which Allah, the Exalted, is mentioned abundantly. The safe one is the one in which one remains silent, neither gaining nor losing. The harmful one is the one in which one's speech and actions are in disobedience to Allah, Blessed and Exalted.
