✧ The Command to Say 'Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji'un' in All Matters and to Ask Allah, Mighty and Majestic, for Everything

وَحَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، فَذَكَرَهُ بِلَفْظِ:

« إِذَا انْقَطَعَ شِسْعُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَسْتَرْجِعْ فَإِنَّهَا مِنَ الْمَصَائِبِ، وَسَلُوا اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، حَتَّى الشِّسْعَ، فَإِنَّهُ إِنْ لَمْ يُيَسِّرْهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ

Translation

✧ When the shoelace of one of you breaks, let him say 'Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajirun' (Indeed we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we return), for it is among the calamities. And ask Allah, Mighty and Majestic, even for a shoelace, for if He does not make it easy, it will not be easy.
