✧ The Command to Say 'Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji'un' in All Matters and to Ask Allah, Mighty and Majestic, for Everything

قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

« لِيَسْتَرْجِعْ أَحَدُكُمْ عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَتَّى فِي شِسْعِ نَعْلِهِ، فَإِنَّهُ مِنَ الْمَصَائِبِ

Translation

✧ Let one of you say 'Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajirun' (Indeed we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we return) for everything, even for a shoelace, for it is among the calamities.
