وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، ثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَتَادَةَ، وَأَبُو الدَّهْمَاءِ وَكَانَا يُكْثِرَانِ السَّفَرَ نَحْوَ الْبَيْتِ قَالَا:

أَتَيْنَا عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ فَقَالَ الْبَدَوِيُّ: أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدِي فَجَعَلَ يُعَلِّمُنِي مِمَّا عَلَّمَهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى، فَكَانَ مِمَّا حَفِظْتُ أَنْ قَالَ: « لَا تَدَعْ شَيْئًا اتِّقَاءَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَّا أَبْدَلَكَ اللهُ تَعَالَى خَيْرًا مِنْهُ

Translation

✧ We came upon a man from the desert dwellers, and the bedouin said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took my hand and began teaching me from what Allah the Exalted had taught him. Among what I memorized was that he said: "Do not abandon anything out of fear of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, but that Allah the Exalted will replace it for you with something better."
