وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، مَوْلَى أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ ؓ قَالَ:
دَخَلَ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ ؓ عَلَى حُذَيْفَةَ ؓ وَهُوَ مَرِيضٌ، فَأَسْنَدَهُ إِلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ ؓ: أَوْصِنَا. قَالَ: « إِنَّ الضَّلَالَةَ حَقَّ الضَّلَالَةِ أَنْ تَعْرِفَ مَا كُنْتَ تُنْكِرُهُ، وَتُنْكِرَ مَا كُنْتَ تَعْرِفُهُ، وَإِيَّاكَ وَالتَّلَوُّنَ فِي دِينِ اللهِ تَعَالَى

✧ Abu Mas'ud ؓ entered upon Hudhayfa ؓ while he was ill, and leaned him against himself. Abu Mas'ud ؓ said to him: 'Counsel us.' He said: 'Indeed, misguidance—true misguidance—is that you acknowledge what you used to deny, and deny what you used to acknowledge. Beware of shifting from one position to another in the religion of God, Exalted is He.'
