وَقَالَ عَبْدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ هُوَ ابْنُ هَارُونَ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسٌ الْمَاصِرُ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ الْبَصْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
« إِنَّ لِكُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ ذَنْبًا قَدِ اعْتَادَهُ الْفَيْنَةَ بَعْدَ الْفَيْنَةِ، أَوْ ذَنْبًا لَيْسَ بِتَارِكِهِ حَتَّى يَمُوتَ، أَوْ تَقُومَ عَلَيْهِ السَّاعَةُ، إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ خُلِقَ مُذْنِبًا مُفَتَّنًا خَطَّاءً نَسِيًّا، فَإِنْ ذُكِّرَ ذَكَرَ

✧ «Indeed for every believer there is a sin that he has become accustomed to, time after time, or a sin that he will not abandon until he dies or the Hour rises upon him. The believer was created as one who sins, is tested, errs, and forgets; but if he is reminded, he remembers.»
