✧ Censure of anger

قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، ثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَمْرٍو، مَوْلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ؓ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

« مَنْ خَزَنَ لِسَانَهُ سَتَرَ اللهُ تَعَالَى عَوْرَتَهُ، وَمَنْ كَفَّ غَضَبَهُ كَفَّ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَنْهُ عَذَابَهُ، وَمَنِ اعْتَذَرَ إِلَى اللهِ تَعَالَى قَبِلَ مِنْهُ عُذْرَهُ

Translation

✧ Whoever guards his tongue, Allah the Exalted will cover his faults; whoever restrains his anger, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will withhold His punishment from him; and whoever apologizes to Allah the Exalted, He will accept his excuse.
