✧ While Imran b. Husayn ؓ was sitting with some of his companions, narrating to them, a man said: “Do not narrate to us except from the Qur'an,” or “We only want the Qur'an.” He said: “Have you considered, if you and your companions were left to the Qur'an, would you find that the Zuhr prayer is four [rak'ahs] and the 'Asr prayer is four and the Maghrib prayer is three, with recitation in the first two rak'ahs? Have you considered, if you and your companions were left to the Qur'an, would you find that for every two hundred [dirhams] five [are due], and for camels such and such, and for cattle such and such? Have you considered, if you and your companions were left to the Qur'an, would you find that tawaf around the House is seven [circuits], and between al-Safa and al-Marwah such and such?”
