✧ Whoever seeks knowledge and attains it, God Almighty gives him a double portion of reward; and whoever seeks knowledge but does not attain it, God, Mighty and Majestic, gives him a single portion of reward. He then explained it, saying: Whoever seeks knowledge and attains it, God, Blessed and Exalted, gives him the reward for what he learned and the reward for what he acted upon; and whoever seeks knowledge but does not attain it, God Almighty gives him the reward for what he learned, and the reward for what he did not learn is dropped from him.
