✧ 'Uthman ؓ was asked, and he mentioned a hadith traced back to the Prophet, in which he said: 'As for Abu Jad: the Ba' is the splendor of Allah, the Jim is the beauty of Allah, and the Dal is the religion of Allah, which He approved for Himself, His angels, His prophets, His messengers, and His righteous creation. As for Hawaz: the Ha' is the disgrace of the people of the Fire, and the Za' is the roaring of Hell upon the enemies of Allah and the people of disobedience. As for Hutti: the sins of the sinners were wiped away by seeking forgiveness. As for Kalamun: the Kaf is the perfection of the people of Paradise, and they said: "Praise be to Allah, who has fulfilled His promise to us." As for the Nun: it is the fish from whose liver they will eat before entering Paradise. As for Sa'fas: a measure for a measure and a gem for a gem, and as you judge, you shall be judged. As for Qarashat: they were brought to account.'
