✧ Its Virtue

حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ تَمْنَعُ الْعَبْدَ مِنْ سَخَطِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَا لَمْ يُؤْثِرُوا شَفَقَةَ دُنْيَاهُمْ عَلَى دِينِهِمْ فَإِذَا فَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ قَالُوا: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: كَذَبْتُمْ

Translation

✧ "There is no god but Allah" protects the servant from the wrath of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) as long as they do not prefer the compassion of their worldly life over their religion. If they do that, then say, "There is no god but Allah" (Mighty and Majestic), Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says: "You have lied."
