✧ Prohibition of Shedding the Blood of One Who Testifies That There Is No God but Allah

قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَجَلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ ؓ قَالَ:

بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ أُقَاتِلُهُمْ، وَأَدْعُوهُمْ، فَإِذَا قَالُوا: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، حَرُمَتْ عَلَيَّ دِمَاؤُهُمْ، وَأَمْوَالُهُمْ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me to Yemen to fight them and call them, and when they said: There is no god but Allah, their blood and wealth became forbidden to me.
