✧ Fair Treatment of Slaves, and What May Be Acquired of Them and of Animals

وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَيْسَرَةَ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ:

الْغَنَمُ بَرَكَةٌ، وَالْإِبِلُ عِزٌّ لِأَهْلِهَا، وَالْخَيْرُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِي الْخَيْلِ، وَالْعَبْدُ أَخُوكَ، فَأَحْسِنْ إِلَيْهِ، فَإِنْ رَأَيْتَهُ مَغْلُوبًا، فَأَعِنْهُ

✧ Sheep are a blessing, camels are an honor for their owners, goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses, and the slave is your brother, so be good to him. If you see him overwhelmed, then help him.
