قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ: وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ قَالَ:
فُرِشَ لِأَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ فِي سَطْحٍ أَفْيَحَ، فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فِي بَعْضِ اللَّيْلِ، فَأُنْزِلَ، وَقَالَ: قَدْ كِدْتُ أَنْ أَبِيتَ اللَّيْلَةَ، لَا ذِمَّةَ لِي
Translation

✧ A bed was spread for Abu Ayyub al-Ansari on a flat roof. He ordered it to be taken down during part of the night, and it was brought down. He said: 'I almost spent the night with no protection for me.'
