✧ Reason and its virtue

حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ، ثَنَا مَيْسَرَةُ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ جَابَانَ، عَنْ لُقْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:
إِنَّ الْجَاهِلَ لَا يَكْشِفُ إِلَّا عَنْ سَوْأَةٍ، وَإِنْ كَانَ حَصِيفًا ظَرِيفًا عِنْدَ النَّاسِ، وَإِنَّ الْعَاقِلَ لَا يَكْشِفُ إِلَّا عَنْ فَضْلٍ، وَإِنْ كَانَ عَيِّبًا مَهِينًا عِنْدَ النَّاسِ
Translation

✧ Indeed, the ignorant one reveals nothing but a fault, even if he is considered judicious and charming by people. And indeed, the intelligent one reveals nothing but excellence, even if he is considered defective and contemptible by people.
