حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ، حَدَّثَنَا مَيْسَرَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ:
يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ يَتَفَاضَلُ النَّاسُ فِي الدُّنْيَا ؟ قَالَ ﷺ: بِالْعَقْلِ، قُلْتُ: فَفِي الْآخِرَةِ ؟ قَالَ ﷺ: بِالْعَقْلِ، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: إِنَّمَا يُجْزَوْنَ بِأَعْمَالِهِمْ، قَالَ ﷺ: وَهَلْ عَمِلُوا إِلَّا بِقَدْرِ مَا أَعْطَاهُمُ اللهُ تَعَالَى مِنَ الْعَقْلِ، فَبِقَدْرِ مَا أُعْطُوا مِنَ الْعَقْلِ كَانَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ، وَبِقَدْرِ مَا عَمِلُوا يُجْزَوْنَ
Translation

✧ O Messenger of God, by what do people excel one another in this world? He ﷺ said: 'By intellect.' I said: 'And in the Hereafter?' He ﷺ said: 'By intellect.' She said: I said: 'They are only rewarded according to their deeds.' He ﷺ said: 'Did they do deeds except according to the measure of intellect that God Almighty gave them? So according to the measure of intellect they were given, their deeds were, and according to the measure of their deeds they will be rewarded.'
